SIX YEARS

Sometimes it feels like just yesterday, and other times, it feels like decades ago. But a lot of life has happened since we walked down the aisle June 15th, 2019. Looking back at pictures from our wedding, I realize how young and naive we were. I think most people feel that way, but it’s amazing the amount of growth both personally and jointly we have experienced and been forced into since 2019.

This past year has been especially trying, because my brother-in-law filed for a divorce from my sister in January, which was a shock to all of our systems. Daily I am reminded just how fragile marriages are. As a PA working in primary care, I hear directly from my patients about the daily struggle of having to fight for your marriage. You can’t make someone want to change or grow, they have to want and be willing to move forward into flourishing. However, I’m continually thankful that Cary continues to grow closer towards Christ and closer towards me. I pray that we will remain committed to the vows we made that day to forever protect our marriage. It’s no walk in the park, but it’s worth all the vulnerability and sacrifice. Here is a recap of the past SIX YEARS!
