Basic Invite

When we began the process of wedding planning, my fiancé (now husband) and I knew we wanted to remember the day as being a timeless expression of our love for each other. Our desire was to choose colors and styles that we would be look back on without regret. We wanted our big day to be one that we would treasure for the rest of our lives.

Looking back now, I think we accomplished just that. The biggest decision was probably deciding when and where the wedding was going to be, and once that was established, everything else sort of fell into place. However, our invitations and what our suite looked like was really important to me because I didn’t want anything trendy with prints or floral. Cary and I wanted something classy, timeless, and simple. And we found just that on Basic Invite!

Basic Invite is an incredible resource for all things wedding. You have the ability to customize all of their products with different fonts, colors, patterns, etc. We were really pleased with the quality of the products we purchased and happy with the speed of service. They actually have live chat features all across their website so if you ever have a question about their products or how to edit something, there is a representative available to assist you at that very moment.

Wedding Invitations Made Easy

We ordered the Elegant Vintage Portrait Wedding Invitations, Response Cards, Registry Cards, and Belly Bands for our invitation suite and customized them to match our wedding color palette: Navy, Slate Blue, & Blush Pink. We even made a wedding website with Basic Invite to correspond with our invitations FOR FREE. It was incredibly easy and the final product was stunning. We were able to put all the information about our love story, registry, accommodations, and fun things to do in the city of Charleston on the site so our guests were up-to-date on the details of our wedding weekend. If you want to check our’s out, just go to sarahandcary.com! There are tons of designs to choose from to match your invitations and it’s just about the easiest thing to create. Here is the link for all their wedding invitations so you can browse their extensive selection. We loved the usability of it and the clean aesthetic. There are a ton of wedding website providers to choose from including Minted, The Knot, Wedding Wire, and Zola, but after comparing the different options available to us, we loved the fact that Basic Invite was comprehensive and had it all in one cohesive space.

…Basic and Understated

We chose probably the most basic and most understated invitation available on their website, however they have a ton of different suites to choose from including some trendier styles like clear, wood, and seal-and-send options. They even have save-the-date cards that are completely customizable. They have it all!

PROS:
Lots of styles and designs to choose from
Entire invitation suites that are easy to customize
Great variety of fonts and colors
Quality paper products

CONS:
Disappointed with their “free” envelope printing service
–> had to print the outer envelopes ourselves
Wouldn’t allow you to put an entire salutation on one line for the envelope
