Hello July!

Hard to believe that June even happened. I feel like I blinked and it was over. June has a history for being one of my favorite months of summer. It’s the month we celebrate my sister and dad’s birthdays. It’s cooler in temperature than the subsequent months of July and August, and it’s when our family has gone on our most memorable adventures. However, this year is wrought with a lot of foiled plans, so I’m trying to take it in stride as best I can.

So rather than dwelling on what hasn’t happened this summer, I’m choosing to dwell on the blessings of this season. There’s been a lot of personal growth for each of us during these unforeseen months of quarantine. I know I’ve learned a lot about myself as I’m sure you have too. But just because some of our summer plans have been cancelled doesn’t mean that summer’s been cancelled. Let me say that again: SUMMER HAS NOT BEEN CANCELLED! So let’s live it to the fullest!
