Hard to believe we moved into our little Myrtle Beach home a year ago! What a crazy 12 months it’s been…My husband and I started new careers in the medical field and hospitality industry, got plugged into a local church family, and are everyday learning how to maneuver through marriage. But our master bedroom is our sanctuary! It’s our cozy retreat at the end of a long workday. Warm neutrals with hints of navy, white, and slate blue.
These were my color palettes for inspiration…
I love the warm tones mixed with the soft dusty blue and navy. It provides such a warm and comforting feeling to the space. But in all honesty, this color choice was heavily influenced by our wedding colors. Our wedding color palette was dusty blue, navy, and blush pink with hints of sage green and peony pink. It was truly the best blend of masculine and feminine colors. A year later and I still wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding. It was our kind of perfect!

Most of the above items are from Target, Amazon, and other home decor retailers. Don’t for a second think that you have to spend a fortune to create a warm and welcoming space. Design CAN be budget-friendly.
I’m feeling inspired to tackle our living room next. The color scheme right now is similar to our bedroom, but I think I want to bring more sage green and mustard into the mix. Haven’t done a lot of design since quarantine, because I can’t justify spending extraneous expenses on home decor when Cary and I are the only ones enjoying the space. Stay tuned for the next design reveal!
