Truth be told, I used to hate Valentine’s Day as a single person.
It reminded me of all the things I didn’t have. But the older I get, the more I love this Hallmark holiday. It’s cheese and romance is just what we need right now. Whatever your relationship status is this Valentine’s Day, celebrate love: the love of family, neighbors, friends, and spouses. If you don’t have a significant other this Valentine’s Day, take heart because a romantic relationship is not the be-all end-all, even if the movies portray it to be. Take cinema with a grain of salt and enjoy it for what it is. Ultimately, life AND love is better in real life than it is in the movies. But these films are some of the best of the best when it comes to love stories. I hope you enjoy them this Valentine’s Day however you choose to celebrate!
